The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Board of Directors has publicly expressed its commitment to the coal industry in British Columbia, in a letter of support for the industry. The TNRD Board passed a resolution that a letter should be sent to the Coal Alliance “recognizing the importance of the coal industry in BC and encouraging the industry to maintain leading environmental standards.”
The resolution and letter follow a presentation by members of the Coal Alliance to the TNRD Board.
